My family and I stayed at The Old Workhouse for a special birthday celebration. The mezzanine level with pool table was a hit and provided us with great evenings of fun. The rooms had a nice layout that allowed for privacy within our group. The location was perfect - quiet yet still close to Barters Books and a short walk into town. The apartment was beautiful, with comfortable beds and well-equipped kitchen. a great place for our family getaway.
Highly recommend this hotel.

The location of this hotel is absolutely fantastic - it is within walking distance to the village and there is a charming secondhand bookshop just across the street. the property itself is beautifully renovated and has lots of room for a comfortable stay. the master bedroom is gorgeous with a spacious king-sized bed, and the kitchen is well-appointed with everything you need. Plus, there is plenty of coffee and tea to choose from, which is a nice touch.
One major downside of this hotel is the lack of showers. There is only one shower available in one of the ensuite bedrooms, which is definitely not enough for a group of eight adults.

It was the perfect place for our family get together to celebrate two special birthdays. the layout of the rooms allowed us to have privacy while still enjoying each other's company. the mezzanine level with a pool table was a hit with everyone, and we spent many evenings having fun in that area. the location was also excellent , a quiet area, yet just a short walk to Barters Books and a gentle 10, minute stroll into town and Alnwick Gardens. the property itself was beautifully renovated with plenty of room, and the master bedroom was particularly impressive with its extra large king, sized bed and a fantastic shower in the bathroom. the kitchen was well, appointed and had everything we needed. it was a wonderful experience. Cons: Liked everything 😊.

Loved the spacious property with a garden and free parking. Also enjoyed the free WiFi, so I could post pictures of the worn-out chairs and wobbly toilet. Such a treat!
Oh, and let's not forget the joy of being charged for imaginary bathrobes. Truly a five-star experience.

The location of the hotel was excellent, only a short walk away from Alnwick Castle and Gardens. It was also conveniently located near a supermarket and a secondhand bookshop, making it easy to find groceries and entertainment. the apartment itself was spacious and well-equipped, providing everything necessary for a comfortable stay.
The lack of privacy in the fourth bedroom was a major drawback. It was simply a bed in the play room area, forcing guests to change in another bedroom.

The apartment is absolutely fabulous! The bedrooms are cozy and the living room is spacious and perfect for hanging out with friends. The fully equipped kitchen is a bonus, especially for someone like me who loves to cook. And having two bathrooms is a game-changer!
Personally, I found that the washing machine in the apartment was a bit noisy. But hey, that's just me.

I had a wonderful stay at The Old Workhouse in Alnwick. The location was excellent, just a short 10-minute walk to Alnwick Castle. The sitting-kitchen area was perfect for socializing with my family and friends. The thermostat allowed us to easily control the temperature, great considering the changeable weather. The mezzanine floor and pool table provided extra entertainment for our group. the hotel was well-equipped and suitable for our group of six.
There were a few minor issues. The instructions for check-in should have mentioned that the keys were located in the car parking space, not within the hotel.
